Zongo Youth are not Instruments of Chaos, says Nkosuohene

The Nkosuohene of the Zongo community, Alhaji Abdul Ali Barry recently made a statement, affirming that the youth in their community will no longer be used as pawns by politicians to incite chaos.

During an interview with Akosa on Adomankomasem on May 15, Alhaji Barry emphasised that the era of attributing every election-related disturbance to the Zongo community is firmly behind them.

He highlighted their ongoing efforts to educate and sensitise the youth, empowering them to make informed choices and reject being mere instruments of chaos.

“Our focus is to impart knowledge to the youth, enlightening them about certain politicians who, while ensuring their own safety and that of their families, exploit vulnerable youngsters to sow disorder and unrest,” stated the Nkosuohene.

Acknowledging the vital role of cleanliness in community development, the Nkosuohene further emphasised their commitment to address this issue head-on.

“Recognizing the importance of a clean environment, committees have been established within the Zongo community to tackle cleanliness challenges effectively.”

Recently, leaders of the Zongo communities in the Ashanti Region called on the youth to remain calm, and avoid any offensive behaviour that could threaten the peace, and development of the area.
